David Cheng's review of Stephen Chan's paper

David Cheng's review of Stephen Chan's paper A Tale of Two Cities has finally been edited and is ready for publication. It can be found here. An excerpt:

Rev. Prof. Dr. Chan is one of the greatest teachers of theology in our time. His article provides us a better understanding of Calvin and his works especially in regard to Calvin’s contribution to the Reformation of the 16th century. This reviewer has found no mistake or any point for scholarly challenge. Certainly, Dr. Chan is very careful in his wording and therefore he is safe even on a couple issues which are already controversial in the scholarly literature.

"A friend" and Mingliang,

we the editors and organizers of this blog conference have been very lenient to both of you. Unlike my personal blog, this blog conference is meant for interaction. However, we will not allow this blog to be hijacked for the purpose of assassinating the characters of anyone.

We have received feedback from others who frequent this blog (who on certain posts strongly disagree with us also), who have been discouraged from commenting due to the outrageous and libelous comments posted by the likes of you and the AT gang. This is not to mention the violation of the rules of proper conduct in which issues not persons are to be addressed. As such, you two and AT have been banned from commenting. Don't try to push our patience; my co-organizer Jonah has already deleted a few of your comments, and I have deleted the last one by Mingliang.

You guys have shown to the world how un-Christian you all are, if indeed you profess the name of Christ. Even Franas, a Roman Catholic, did not descend to the level of hatred and vitriol you both have. We the organizers of the CREDO500 blog conference would exhort both of you to repent of your unChristian behavior, and meditate upon the words of Christ, and what it means to "love your enemy", if indeed you count us as your enemy.

By the way, we are not impressed with your cyber-bullying. Spamming will only get you deleted when we have the chance to do so, until we find a way to permenently prevent you from doing such.
